Permanent makeup. The hot topic on everyone’s lips. And eyebrows. And bodies. You get the idea…
Mircopigmentation, as permanent makeup is also known, has become one of the biggest cosmetic services within the beauty industry.
Because of the increased demand for these services, we’ve also seen lots of beauty specialists delve into this area of the market. To gain all of the skills you need to offer permanent makeup, it’s essential to undergo advanced permanent makeup training as well as just the basics.
But with so many different permanent makeup training providers around, it can be difficult to understand how much you should expect to pay – and of course – what return this could bring for you and your business. Find out more below.
How Much Should I Expect to Pay for Permanent Makeup Training?
As a well-established permanent makeup training provider and permanent makeup artist in South Devon, we have years of experience, and know how much you should expect to pay for training.
It’s so important that you don’t just go to the cheapest provider you can find, as this doesn’t always mean they will be good or well-suited to you.
Before choosing a permanent makeup training provider, be sure to look at their reviews, social media profiles, and portfolios. It would also be good to have a chat with them to ensure they will be the right fit for you.

How Much Can I Charge for Permanent Makeup Training?
We know that undertaking advanced permanent makeup training courses can be a huge investment for your business at the outset. So it’s super important to know how much you’re able to charge your clients once fully trained so that you can receive your return on investment as quickly as possible.
Permanent makeup is a highly skilled and specialised profession. Therefore, people are willing to pay more for their treatments. It’s crucial that you know your worth and therefore don’t undersell yourself – whilst always maintaining fair and competitive prices.
Treatments vary in price. But you can expect to be able to charge prices starting from £165 up to £2,000 for treatments over a period of time. Which gives you an indication of how profitable the market really is.
A successful and dedicated artist can earn up to £100,000, however, the average salary is £30K – £50K. This is completely dependent on how well you market your business and what prices you are offering treatments for.
